Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

A low hop aroma is evident. Color is gold with a white head. Low hop flavor with some caramel sweetness. Overall a mild beer.

Hops evident in the nose, but the flavor was hindered b a soapiness that really distracted and left it with a poor finish. Enjoyable at a certain level, but lacked depth.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours orange/copper with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts and fruit. Flavor is sweet, carbonated, smooth, slight bitterness in finish.

Pour into a standard American pint. Slight haze but overall good clarity. Pale golden with frothy snow white head. Good cling to the side of the glass. Sweet, grassy aroma at a low level. Sweet, buistuty flavor, but really unimpressive. Very BMC.

Nothing better than cracking open a bottle of suds before 3pm on a Friday with 70 degree sunshine. Faint but fresh nose of caramel, and spice. Pours a light golden amber. The creamy tight white head is fully lasting with fair lacing. The brew has a delicate and subtle flavor; refined to be sure. Not what I expected, perfect for a cookout or BBQ. The light body is creamy & soft.
