Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Lightly hopped, more citrusy than out and out hoppy. Won’t kick you in the mouth. Refreshing lawn mower beer.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and hazy orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of grass, citrus, and very light caramel. Tastes of grass, citrus, and caramel. Body on the thin and bordering watery side.

Pours amber-gold with a one-finger white head. Dish soap and citrus aroma, with caramel malt and a metallic touch. Weak flavor with some caramel in the beginning, a quick burst of citrusy hops, and then nothing but a slightly soapy aftertaste. Some honey is in there, but not enough to add any depth.

pours orange/copper with a minimal white head. Aroma of sweet malts and slightly fruity. Flavor is sweet, carbonated, smooth, slightly hopy and fruity, good balance and drinkable, but nothing great.

A cloudy golden yellow pour with a minor head. Strong scent of green tea in there. Not citrusy, which is what I’m used to in West Coast IPAs. Flavor is pretty mellow- carbonated and kind of watery. Overall, this IPA’s all right, but I want more hop character in it.

Orange color, small head. Sweet, malty with no hops evident. This is from the west coast? HERESY!!!

The aroma has light herbal hops with yeast and caramel malt. The appearance is a copper gold with a small foamy head. The flavor is just like the aroma. The palate is thin.

From a short 12 oz. brown bottle with no freshness date. Made an average appearance, poured a clear amber hued golden with a small foamy head that quickly reduced to a thin lacing. Had a soft, sweet fruity aroma, almost candy-like, and subtle graininess. Moderate carbonation and a slick, watery light bodied mouth feel, average drinkability. Overall, was watery tasting in it’s flavors, a sweet fruity, leaning towards tropical with a mellow bitterness, a mild grainy, slightly bready maltiness and a semi-crisp sweet bitter finish.
