Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with an average rocky white head that was lasting. Moderate hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Moderate sweet small bitter flavor with a short finish. Below average brew.

Pours a light amber. Aroma is kind of sweet, with some hop bitterness. Flavor is grainy/citrus with a dry finish.

12oz. bottle. Pours a pale copper with small, fizzy, quickly diminishing head. Smells of citrus hops and a little metallic, maybe even a small amount bready maltiness. Not very bitter at all- though not a bad beer, I’ve had better.

Nice copper color with fruity aroma. Flavor is difficult to pin down (mild hops, cirtus, and woodsy). Smooth and refreshing. Me likey.

I don’t know what it was but I enjoyed this beer. It was a good contrast between flavor, bitterness, color, and mouth feel. It is by no means great, but it is a very solid offering from the people at North Coast.

12 oz bottle. Not much aroma, looked ok with a fading head, and some lacing. Flavors were a little better. Some hoppiness but mostly bread and yeast. Not great, but I would drink it.

Certainly nothing wrong with it, I suppoe. Kind of a Cheerio’s smell to it, Flavor is a hint of woods, the cereal again - maybe whole grain toast. Well made, but not distinguished.

12oz. bottle. Hazy golden color with a small white head. Metallic aroma with some citrus hops. Mildly bitter hop flavor with some biscuit malt in the background. Very bland beer from a company I really like.
