Pours golden-amber, moderately clear with a adequate but short-lived head.
The aroma is limited. Palate is watery; the flavor is sweet, almost insipid, for a pale ale, with a late hit of very modest hop bitterness.
Nothing to drink here, move along... Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 22, 2005 bottle 12 oz. Almost clear lt. golden, small head that died quick, almost no lace. Aroma is creamy light roast malt w moderate hops. Flavor is semi sweet lt roast malt w light hops, just a touch sharp & harsh, (like it wasn’t stored properly or was old). Pushing medium bodied. There was a noticable bitterness on the finish. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2005 Very orange pour....unusual. The flavor is of hops, but strange ones at that...slightly citrusy but kind of musky. The malt has low levels of cane sugar with just a hint of unpleasant bitterness. These Acme beers seem just a bit below the quality of what North Coast is capable of, but these are interesting in their own right. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma show some light hoppiness and citrus. The flavor is all hops except for a faint taste of grapefruit. Lighter in flavor than a Bass ale this didn’t impress. MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2005 Bottle @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm Plenty of butterscotch in this bottle. Maybe an old bottle as the price was reduced... Some papery notes as well, indicating oxidation. Quite sweet and malty for an american ale, in my oppinion. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 23, 2005 There’s some doughy, malty sweetness in the nose, a bit of orange/citrus; lively carbonation; simple mild crystal malt flavor with a detracting metallicness; slight bittering; generally unexiting and disappointing.
