Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Bottled. Golden. Sweet and fruity aroma. A bit thin, though fresh with notes of apples.

Poured an amber color with a small white head that faded quickly. Sweet honey malt aroma. Light hop taste with also some honey flavor. A nice light tasting pale ale.

Light pleasant nose, dark amber color, no head. Grainy malt taste with some hop bitterness. Overall light tastes with just an OK balance. Clean palate. Not so good, really.

Small head that will completely break up. Orange colored. A trace of hops in the aroma. Ordinary flavored like most pale ales. Some floral notes, honey and touch of hops.

Appearance: clear amber color, nearing peach, with a solid, snowy-white head. Aroma: bare, hidden, with some fruit, sweet malt, but just barely. Taste: very light, easy, breezy, little hops, but solid body, fine taste, smooth and untroubled, an excellent example of a session ale, in that it bothers one not a whit and provides no distraction from the chat and the snooker, etc... Taste is nice and rich, yummy, sweet and malty, fruity, applish, cherry-like...not a great pale ale, but good enough.

Golden, small dissapearing white head. Weak hoppy and floral aroma, rather empty. Floral flavour with some hops but the body and the aftertaste is quite bland and rises no eye-brows.

A nice smooth ale, I agree, it could be hoppier, but its not a IPA, so it being a little milder is cool with me, good brew, very smoth, but not outstanding, I would drink it again, but I prefer more of a hop kick!
