Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Bottle, pours a hazy orange with a fine head. Aroma is citrus and malt, the malt is more overpowering though. This is crisp and refreshing, nothing special though. Acme IPA was much better

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Light amber color with whitye, frothy head. Soft, prickly texture. Malty caramel aroma. Similar flavor but with some fruity hops.

Golden with big, foamy white head / Faint nose of grain and honey / Light body with little malt or hop character but for bitter finish / Simple flavors of grain with honey note / Blind-folded, I’d say its a pilsner.

Visiting a friend and unfortunately had to drink straight out of the bottle. Aroma (or at least what I could get) and flavor were both predictable and average.

Another historical beer label revived by North Coast. This one was left over from last year’s beer swap in Portland, Oregon. Pours a semi-hazy orange amber brew with a n average off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and thin head. Aroma of light caramel malt, some citrus zest, a touch of tart dark pitted fruits and some peach. Taste is medium bodied, mild bitter and tart flavors of caramel malt, citrus zest and a little cardboard. Finish is semi-dry, a little metallic with a mild bitter aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary but nice to see the historical beer brand back.

Bottle, 5/26/08. Pours a beautiful light brown color, taste is crisp and light, finishes very clean. I know ratebeer users can’t handle session beers, but this is a great one, which is especially hard due to the lack of overpowering bitterness to hide any flaws or imperfections. Great beer from an awesome brewery.

Cloudy yellow/amber color. Moderate white head that dissipates quickly. Slightly sour nose with citrus and malt. Citrus notes in the taste which is a bit sour and tart, but not bad. Tart finish. Drinkable, not a standout.

Dull hazy beige. Fresh, fruity nose (pear, peach). Soft bitterness. Very fruity character. A little watery in the finish.
