Commercial Description:
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Bottle- Pours a slightly hazy golden color, dull white head. I get almost no malt flavor to this. Mildly hoppy, thin body, lots of apple in it.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of hops, malts, and light diacetyl. Poured amber/copper in color. Slightly hazy. Not sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, and a hint of fruit (from the hops I assume). Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop and malt finish. Better than I had expected. Very average but very drinkable nonetheless. I am surprised this beer has such low ratings.

Bottle at Festival 8 in Indio, CA. Hazy golden orange color, small off white head. Aroma is mostly subdued, notes of fruit and citrus. Light bodied and overall boring flavor, somewhat watery.

Haven’t had in a long time now but don’t remember being that impressed by this one. Slightly watery and not very hoppy. Session it!

Despite other ratings, I absolutely love this beer. Not a great example of a pale ale, by any means, but still a great beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Golden to orange in color with a light off white head. The smell is light, hops, floral, some malts. Easy going and balanced. The taste is sweeter than expected, malts, and hops.

From a bottle poured brown with a fair amount of head. Nice light hoppy flavor with a quick finish.

bottle poured a yellow copper color with a thin white head. aroma has flowers, peach, citrus, and honey. light mouth feel with medium carbonation. flavor has mellow bitterness, peach, honey, caramel malt, grains, and some faint spice. very drinkable and has a decent malt level to counter the sweetness. very sessionable.

Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and average lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops with some subtle floral undertones. Taste is a well balanced mix between some lightly bitter hops with some notes of caramel malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but lacking character and additional hops presence would have been great.
