Commercial Description:
Cask; Special - Christmas 2006.
Roast barley and crystal malt combined with Challenger and Bramling Cross hops give this dark festive ale excellent body and bitterness.

Dover Beer Fest 2007. Smooth dark bitter of considerable character. Strong earthy hops keep the sweet malt in check. Resin burn. Mmmm.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Dark ruby colour with bubbly dark beige head. Lovely leafy grapefruit aroma. Lovely mouthfeel. Very smooth. Very good condition. Decent grainy malt. Very nice hop on end. As the festival wound down on the Saturday afternoon, I had 2 more pints of this as I liked it so much and I couldn’t believe that people hadn’t drunk it all.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Derby Winterfest 07. A very dark brown coloured beer witha touch of ruby and a beige head. The aroma is malty and dry with coffee notes. The taste is roasty and malty with more coffee notes. A good long finish to a tasty beer.
