Aroma is nutty and fruits off the yeast. Taste is similar with a bitter finish which doesnt suit the beer. I would guess that this is a brow ale.

Sep 21, 2008 Cask@Burton Summer Beer Festival, 2008. Brown beer with a toffee and hopped aroma, and a dry, toffee and hopped flavour. Overall a nice dry, hopped and toffee beer.

Aug 21, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is mild coffee, roast and some wood. Flavour is wood, sour coffee with some mild hints of wood. Nice fruity and wooden bitterness in aftertaste.

Aug 10, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Hazy amber with an offwhite froth. Quite complex nose: fruit, toffee and chocolate. Good fruity bitterness. A bitter way above the average.
