Pub (4123), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 19, 2007 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury, Oxon. Pale gold with white head. Clean, dry and hoppy beer, light and fragrant on the tongue, with a lemon and grapefruit note. Slightly thin malty finish, but this can be forgiven in a very decent summery beer.
Rune (1811), Tromsų, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Weak aroma and taste of hops with an oily impression. Added some hints of sweet malts. Slight hazy, golden body. Nothing special and easy to drink (cask at GBBF, 09.08.2008). oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Aug 21, 2008 Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, raisins and mild wood. Flavour is the same, ending in a big grassyness. Not very exciting... harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 20, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Gold, thin off white head. I mean, it’s actually a pretty good golden ale, but it’s still a golden ale. Fruit salad aroma, nice mouthfeel, some drying hop, more juicy fruit on the swallow. But hey, as I said, like a thousand other golden/blond ales. KimJohansen (4296), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 8, 2008 Cloudy golden with medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with floral hops and hints of fruit. Ends bitter.
