Clean, moonlit blonde color. Warm honey aroma with distinct yeastiness. Strong honey, ethanol, and estery flavors. Sweet, sticky finish. This may mellow with age, but the elements are unrestrained and out of control, resulting in a product that’s too harsh to be enjoyable.

Golden color with a mild aroma of Wildflower and Orange Blossom honey and some assorted floral notes. Flavor is semi-sweet to sweet with some wildflower and sage honey and assorted sweet flavors - sweet and satisfying, but one deimensional. Good, sticky mouthfeel

Light straw colour. Dry woody aroma with honeycomb notes. Quite sweet, honeyish with balsa wood and alcohol. Very much a straightahead mead.

(750ml yellow wine bottle) Sampled at CW3 in Victoria. Courtesy of Oakes. Great honey nose. Sweet yet not over-powering. Nice flavour and alcohol. Very good example of a mead - perhaps the standard as Guinness, Saxo and Pilsner Urquell are to beer styles.
