| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2009 The beer pours dark brown, heavily carbonated with a thin dark head. Typical dubbel aroma but definitely medicinal aromas which are evident on the first taste. This comes from the ten-spice mixture from the region, which is known as ’sweet gale’. This started as a 7-beer, but the flavour tended to dissipate over the time it took to drink it, and it was just a little synthetic - as over-carbonated dubbels can find themselves" ha1ag (429), Maastricht, Netherlands
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2009 Bottled in Thembi in Mestreech, 6 months AFTER his date. Color is very dark brown, with quickly diminishing tan head. Aroma is malts and sweet. Flavour is malt, apple creme with a long spicey finish. I think the 6month extra aging took a toll on this one - to be rerated. jerohen (1615), Bussum, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Bottle conditioned, 330 ml. Dark brown, ruby hue with slight cream head. Dark syrupy flavours with a big tarry, liquorice, molasses body, then a grape, plum fruitiness. A touch of spice, a little indistinct with a port like finish. A beer packing a bit of punch.
