(Rating #1203) shadey (1298), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 22, 2007 On Tap at Brewery. Red color with a head of cream. Aroma is mild, just a hint of hops. Flavor is quite surprising. Sweet, toasty, maybe a touch of fruit. There was just enough hops to clean up the finish. I was expecting a boring Irish ale and got something that was actually both interesting and quite good. DYCSoccer17 (1995), Davis, California, USA Oct 6, 2005 On tap at the brewpub with a 4-5oz sampler. Mildly piney-peppery hoppiness to start in the aroma. Some diacetyl notes are also present. Transparent copper color with a frothy off-yellow head. Hoppy, sweetish start turning smooth. Finishes with a dry body and some more peppery hoppiness. A nice little bitter ale. rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 15, 2005 Almost chocolaty malt nose. Body is copper with a thin head. Very similar to Flying Bison’s Aviator Red. The same rich malt but not quite as hoppy. A solid beer.
