rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2005 Sulfur & fruit - not overpowering, some dusty malt in the nose. Body is copper, thin white head. Flavor has some sulfur & plum and is decently hopped. Bitter finish. A fair representation of the style Lubiere (3144), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 12, 2004 Red copper ale with a creamy off-white head. Nice floral hops, restrained. Chunky caramel and light citrus, nice lingering hops. Medium bodied. Spring 2004. CapFlu (3242), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada May 3, 2004 (Draught) Pours very little carbonation. Golden with a thin, white and quickly dissipating head. Nose of white pepper, hops and the mildest of malts. This is very good. Nice palatable maltiness and good. Impressed. tiggmtl (4155), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 2, 2004 Sweet malty aroma balanced by decent hoppiness. Deep golden coloured - light amber with white head that recedes to ring. Nicely malty, toasty/biscuity flavour. Medium mouthfeel and body.Clearly the best beer on tap on the day I visited. Flavour improves dramatically as it warms. I found the beers were generally served too cold. On tap at the brewpub. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 29, 2004 Swift pine hops drift in the steam...Diluted caramel converges with baby citrus fruit...Another creamy quaffer with good balance, but this time a bit more to taste and analyze than their average offering...
