josarah (48), Hinesburg, Vermont, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft at brewpub:Typical hefe decent white head, clove & citrus aroma cloudy gold color. The taste was somewhat off. It had the classic hefe taste but something was off. Not horrible, just not right. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 8, 2007 Hunter Mt. Hefe-on tap-pours a dissipating white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is banana, clove, some yeast/wheat. Taste is lots of clove, banana, some yeast/wheat, some lemon with it. When it warms up the banana comes to equal the clove. OK effervescence. Glouglouburp (1872), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 24, 2006 Opaque and muddy yellow with a nice head and great lacing. Strong bubble gum aroma with the typical banana. Wheat and fruity taste with a flavour I can only describe as banana skin. An average hefeweizen and unfortunately this was best of the six beers we had at the pub. A prime example of the brewpub crawler golden rule: the fancier a brewpub looks from the outside, the worst the beer. GonZoBeeR (1986), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Jul 21, 2006 Aroma:good banana and wheat flavor...
Appearance:hazy yellow-white,good head...
Flavor:sweet banana,cream.... rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2005 Cloudy whitish with a fluffy yellow head. Bananna and clove nose w. bubblegum, wheat, surprisingly malty (light but noticable.) Flavor is bananna, light lemon, toasty malt in the finish. A bit sour & thin. In line with other brewpub Hefes I’ve had.
