jcwattsrugger (3793), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 10, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining off white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is c-hops, some cascade, secondary malt. Taste is c-hops, some cascade/pine/resin-some bitter, secondary medium malt-a bit sweet. OK carbonation. Glouglouburp (1915), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 24, 2006 Clear golden body with a small white head. Diacetyl, artificial caramel, weird bitterness. Bad. Draft at brewpub. A tourist trap, like most of Lake George. GonZoBeeR (1990), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Jul 23, 2006 Aroma:light grapefruit hops aroma...
Appearance:clear cooper,good white head...
Flavor:bitterness, butter scotch, chemical flavor... DYCSoccer17 (2009), Davis, California, USA Oct 6, 2005 On tap at the brewpub with a 4-5oz sampler. Citrus-piney hopped aroma with lots of cascades. There are some sweet and roasted tones behind the hopped aroma. Transparent copper/amber color with an off-yellowish head. Oily, hoppy piney-grapefruity flavors to start with a mildly sweet roastiness following. Finishes with more grapefruit bitterness. Quite an oily mouthfeel. rudolf (1547), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2005 Nose is butterscotch, caramel, grapefruit. Reminds me of Middle Ages’ Wailing Wench (a bit of butter) This has the best head of any of the beers I sampled at the brewpub and boasts a pretty copper/ruby body. Flavor is very rich butterscotch, deeply hopped with orange rind. Long bittersweet finish. Great mouthfeel here. A very solid IPA. Certainly the best beer I tasted while I was at Adirondack
