MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 30, 2007 (draught at the brewpub & bottle at home) Clear, amber colour with a short, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet, well-balanced fruity malty and herbal hoppy nose. Malt-accented taste with a nice burnt malt and hoppy bitterness, light to medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel; moderately dry, bitter-sweet finish with a good dose of herbal hops. Quaffable Franconian Lager.
Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 Draft. An orange-amber beer with a thick creamy off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and straw. The flavor is sweet with light notes of caramel, leading to a finish with light notes of both hops and bitterness. The mouthfeel was quite flat. Served too cold for my liking - early in the day. pivnizub (3770), Porúří, Germany Jun 11, 2007 On tap at the brewpub: Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized, quite stable fluffy off-white head; delicate aromatic herbal-hoppy nose, underpinned by sweet-fruity malt ("english"); quite dry (malty-) bitter flavour, rather light bodied; light sweetish-malty finish with a hoppy touch. Good franconian beer........... Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 18, 2006 (On tap) Beautiful, clear, dark amber with a nice, off-white head. Malty, lightly caramelish aroma. Medium body with pleasant, lightly caramalized malt accents - perhaps even a touch of honey? Distinct hoppy finish. Nice one. 101106 jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Oct 25, 2003 Light grainy and hoppy aroma. Golden/light amber color, nice white head, good lace. Firmly hopped, bitter, malty, full body, dry finish.
