joss (3144), Garching b. München, Germany Mar 29, 2008 Bottle, thanks pivnizub! Very hoparomatic nose: Grapefruit and flowers. Golden, low visible carbonation, low head. Honeyish malt base accented by very nice flowery hops, a bit citric on the finish.Medium chewy body, nice wellagerd sparkly on the palate. Flavourfull and hoppy, yet no tendency to soapyness on the long run - very süffig. Excellent! pivnizub (3900), Porúří, Germany Feb 4, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the pivovar): Deep golden coloured, smaller off-white layer, sticking to the glass, sweet-malty, bisquity nose with a very well detectable dash of herbal hops; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; distinctive aromatic-hoppy traces in the smooth bitter-sweet finish. Great! Not sweet, very well balanced Bock........... MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Dec 24, 2007 (bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet, slightly bready and a bit perfumed malt aroma with honey, citrus and spicy herbal hops in the background. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malt-character with a tinge of honey; sweet and slightly bitter malt-accented finish with a soft but balancing herbal hoppy touch. The alcohol is well-embedded. Decent Bock. Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 3, 2007 Draft. A yellow beer - very light even for a Heller Bock with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty - very sweet that is, with quite strong notes of alcohol, leading to a dry and slightly bitter and alcoholic finish. Quite simple, more warming.
