(bottle, from a gas-station in Eltmann, Franconia) Clear, yellow colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Grassy hop aroma that is detectable even from the distance with a malty background. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium body, but quite empty mouthfeel, low to medium carbonated. Soft malty base, shy hoppy taste; dry, minimal bitter and slim finish. Drinkable, but pretty disappointing for a Franconian Pils.

Aug 15, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, brief head. Grassy spicy nose. Dry and crisp with rounded moutfheel and fairly light body. Quite bitter finish. Less flavourful and less inviting than the zwickel, but still a really good pilsener.

Oct 4, 2007 Bottled: Golden color, malty and hoppy, light flowerly aroma. Spicy, tasty flavor. Refreshing and effervescent. Flowerly, light grassy hop flavor. Dry, few bitter finish. A refreshing and tasty pils.
Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark
Aug 3, 2007 Draft. A yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of hops, while the flavor is sweet malty - and not much else, before a bitter finish sets in.

Nov 17, 2006 (On tap) Clear, pilsener golden with a dense, white head. Lightly floral, hoppy nose. Medium body, sweetish malty with a discreet hoppiness. Quite harmonious. 081106
