Quack-Duck (1905), Bodensee, Germany Jun 19, 2008 bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear strawy yellow, medium-sized head. Hopy nose. Aromatic hoppy flavours, grassy and resiny, with a solid malty background. Slightly fruity with a pleasant carbonation. A well crafted brew.
pivnizub (3900), Porúří, Germany Jul 10, 2008 Bottle (großen Dank an Stefan !): Hazy, visible carbonation, smaller but firm creamy head with a good lace; solid sweet-grainy nose with traces of aromatic (Tettnang?) hops, almonds and vanilla; medium bodied, soft MF, solid sweet-bitter flavour; short almondy, sweet-bitter finish. Very pleasant stuff......... MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jun 28, 2008 (bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet and milky, slightly grainy nose with shy herbal and floral hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Malty, again milky and biscuity taste; moderately sweet malty finish with faint hoppy notes. Rural brew, close to their Pils (27.06.08). Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 8, 2006 A dark yellow beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of straw, while the flavor is sweet strawy with notes of caramel. The mouthfeel is slightly sticky. JensenTaster (1485), Denmark Jan 26, 2006 (on bottle) Pale yellow, white head. lightly flowerish aroma, slightly hoped taste, tad of malts too. Fresh, appel-like finish.
