It sticks to the glass, and remains there for a while. The colour is amber, good, but a little booring after a while. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Anyway, this tasted simply of the ingredients, some gristy grainy, slightly nutty malt flavours, with an earthy hop bitterness, pretty simple, but drinkable, and bang on average for me. larsam (127), Southampton, Bedfordshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2005 Hazy brown amber. Sweet malts and molasses + some flowery parfumy alcohols in aroma. Immediate flavour of orange. The bitterness comes in the form of grapefruit. Ends with orangey bitterness. ChristianScheffel (4529), Odense, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 22, 2005 Pint pulled at The White Horse in Parsons Green, a light brown with a thin but full head. A slightly malty aroma with the flavour quite foody (I thought I tasted bacon). A slight bitterness in the mouth combined with a nice smoothness. CornishRob (10), wadebridge, England

Nothing will ever topple Doom Bar in my heart, but this is certainly in my top 3. Totally drinkable, malty nose, light bitterness, nutty and all things nice. I even like the advertising and their staff at GBBF 2005. Top Marks. hughie (3060), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
