Maybe it was just my eyes. Great looking beer. Smelt rich fruity, with the sense that it was going to fairly rich. Felt very creamy and smooth on the palate but perhaps lost some fullness towards the end the mouthful. A well balanced bitterness with sweet malt and fruit overtones. Not bad but I think the bottled version is better, more kick and a livlier taste perhaps. This felt a bit standard strong bitter. larsga (2969), Oslo, Norway

Delicately balanced and harmonic fruity floral earthy aroma with wooden herbal notes. Dry-sweetish floral black berry and wood taste, again in excellent harmony and balance, with caramelly earthy port notes. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Light body. Dry wooden blackberry aftertaste with dusty resiny notes. Nuts and roasted almonds, too. Gorgeous. (0.25l cask, The Warrington Hotel, Maida Vale, London.) motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
