Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm
Dark amber with pronounced maltiness and with a distinct hoppy flavour. Big body for style. Very long finish with bitter reminders.

A dark, amber-brown beer with a thickish beige head. The nose is malty, slightly sweet and fruity, with hints of grapefruit and orange. The taste is smooth, malty and fruity, with grapefruit and orange present again. The aftertaste is long, malty and smooth. (Draught - The Orange Tree, Thornham, Norfolk [formerly The Kings Head])

Cask pint, at Mahars in Albany NY, April 2004. Deep copper, very clear. Slightly malty nose, fairly bland at first, but some nice earthy/caramel qualities show up, and hints of vanilla. Mellow and also a bit maple-y. Very nice overall. Rating moved from bottled version, Feb 2006.

Cask @ The Dew Drop Inn, Summertown (summer ’05). Dark amber color, white head, that was not there for long. Aroma was malty, with some hop and nut, but weak. Bitter, but not as smooth as other bitters I had had. I picked up more hop flavor than malt, which made the beer interesting, but nothing savory. Good bitter, but not the best

Aroma is really malty, quite a bit of sweetness, however this disperses into almost nothing as the pint goes on. Taste is also malty but the hops shows up later in the mouth, intresting pint however quite different from the bottled though maybe not as good.
