bhensonb (3006), Woodland, California, USA Mar 26, 2007 Cask at Ye Old Mitre. Malty aroma. Dark amber color with a passing beige head. Starts slightly fruity, followed by malt, a hint of belgian candy. There is hop in the finish, but the malt tends to keep pace. Satisfying.

dark nutty brown with a smooth creamy, nutty flavour with a nice citrus aftertaste. albertane (300), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Aug 28, 2008 Cask at the Dragon, Nottingham. This dark copper beer has a fruity aroma and a juicy malty flavour with dark fruits: plums, raisins, and a gentle bitterness. SaintMatty (515), Tallinn, Estonia Aug 20, 2008 Cask (The Castle,Basingstoke) - Copper coloured with a bit of a haze. Very fruity and rich aroma with some fruit cake hints. Fruity and slightly musty taste with raisins and some spicy malt notes. bman1986 (90), Broadstairs, Kent, England Aug 16, 2008 Cask at The Butchers Arms, Herne: Dark orangey brown beer. Strong flavours of fruit and bread with a little maltiness. Very rich and tasty. Good beer but I could only drink a couple. gary07734 (165), Tyne & Wear, England Jun 18, 2008 Red-ish brown half pint at local beer festival.
Taste is bitter, quite fruity and loads of malt. Bitter after taste. Fairly average pint nothing special.
