Not huge depth, but a pleasant drink - this is how dark English beer should taste (but with a killer strength in this the bottled version!). Leaves a nice warm fuzzy glow! Re-rate 31/12/2008: As above, with some orange, spice and plenty of malt too. Very slight carbonation is about right for the style. Still felt more drunk on this than on other 6% beers for some reason! yespr (12175), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Flavour starts fruity and sweet. Goes into a spiced malt/hops dense flavour followed by a more bitterhops flavour. Spiced finish. tomthompson89 (1488), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Appearance: Pours as clean, darker shade of amber with premium, thick tanned top. Nose : Fresh, soft hop character , light fruit side with twig , sweet malts add aromas balance. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied ale , top clean bitter British hops , light brown with some earthy side. Alcohol strong was well build into formula. Sadly midlle of palate was a bit flat. Dough malt with hint of rye paired with bitter hop coat of alcohol.
