The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of black currant, cowberries, wood, and grapes. The flavor is sweet and very berry-like again black currant and cowberries, but also caramel and wood. Nice aroma of dark fruits, leather, oak and caramel malts. Flavour is malty sweet with a certain alcoholic burn, but not unpleasant. Some raisin notes too. Decent hops and a peppery finish. Not bad at all. maeib (4775), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
