A fine, heartwarming English Beer, rich in flavours of malt and hops.

re-rate Still a deep red color. Malt still dominates the flavor but the hops are much more defined. Some toffee in the aroma as well. Lightly bitter flavor with a sweet finish. Raisins and toffee abound with some fairly citric hops. Still too fizzy for my taste but an enjoyable beer nonetheless.

A bit more carbonated and sweeter than I prefer but not a bad brew. I was not able to appreciate the hops past the sweetness of this beer.

Pours medium brown with some red highlights and thin beige head. Aroma of sweet malt. Medium to high carbonation. Flavor of caramel malt, and slight hints of vanilla and cocoa. The hop bitterness is considerably higher than I expected, but appreciated. A little dry, but overall not too bad.

Bottle: Nice deep red colored brew with a small rocky head and medium carbonation. Sweet strawberry nose also band aid and medium malt traces. Tastes fruity with a somehow astringent bittness, way to much carbonation makes it hard to taste other flavors. The more you try you get a medium long lasting unripe peppers taste. It seems as this beer is still searching for it*s direction.

Sweet malt in the nose with a little vegetable aroma, chesnut color, sticky foamy low head. Caramel, candy malt - sugary. Light but broad bitter - fairly strong. Hops a bit stale. Medium body. OK beer.

Nothing to look at but an appealing fruity aroma with a hint of old leather. Warm, expansive taste with a surprisingly late bitter hit. The second bottle was even better.

Bottle. Despite significant increase in strength over cask version it lacks the richness and depth of flavours I enjoyed on cask. Overly toasty finish with crystal malt.

Amber red colour, Rich head. Fruity malt-aroma with a touch of berries. Smooth, somewhat nutty, malt flavour. Nice, dry finish where the alcohol add some extra bite.
