Aug 15, 2005 A deep red beer with a nice orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of black currant, cowberries, wood, and grapes. The flavor is sweet and very berry-like again black currant and cowberries, but also caramel and wood.

Feb 26, 2004 Bottled. Deep ruby, clear, rich but quickly vanishing head. Aroma of malt and blueberries(!). Fruity and bold. Raisin, dates and licorice are prominent. Salty and rich, but with clean, simple malt profile. Warming peppery finish with lingering grassy hop bitterness. Packed with flavour, but points are deducted for it's plain malt profile.
