I’m grateful to previous raters for spotting the lime jelly in this. Absolutely spot on! Some grass and tea leaves also. This might just be the most disappointing Adnams beer I’ve ever had. A bit too chewy and husky, and not enough hoppiness. Nice idea, poor execution. DruncanVeasey (2745), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2008 This actually holds up quite well as a beer, and not just a concept. Inviting lemon and lime jelly aroma developing a rub of hopleaf and the faintest whiff of barnyard. Suits me fine. Clean, lemony and grassy with some nutty pale malt and maize-like softness on the end. Hops present, quenching and good. It’s a ludicrous comparison, but Westy Blond springs to mind. Prefer it to some of Adnams cask bitters. Way better than expected. azlondon (665), Fribourg, Switzerland

The aroma has a touch fruit and malt. The taste is very citrus and a bit thin. downender (2601), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2008 500ml bottle from Tesco. Pale, clear gold in colour with plenty of carbonation but no head. I am another who struggled to enjoy this beer. The aroma had some muted sweet malt and lemony hops. The flavour was thin with some biscuit malt giving way to a short, bitter finish and a strange lime opal fruits after-taste. One was quite enough. Gethinbeer (1003), Nova Scotia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2008 Bottle. I thought this was a fairly decent beer. Plenty of flavour yet a little dull and not too lively. Nothing exciting. Fin (3423), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 29, 2008 Bottle, picked up at Tesco, Bicester, Oxon had this 29-05-08 Pours gold with a white head, I don’t wish to dampen what I believe to be a good idea, but this beer was rather forgettable, bit thin and aside from some biscuity malts and a slight sharpness I really struggled to put pen to paper. I applaud Adnams for what they’e doing on the eco front but I hope that they start putting a bit more effort into their next venture as this was more flavour neutral than carbon neutral. johndoughty (2159), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2008 Bottle.Cant help feel that the carbon neutral approach on this beer is just a way of atracting attention to what is really a farly boring beer.Orange appearance with a slightly sharp preesnce of carbohnation.Short bitter flavour.Might be environmentally fiendly but thiis does’t make it any better than any mumber of run iof the mill bitters.Try and forget.
