Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Introduced in 2004 as a summer seasonal in East Anglia and London; became from Feb, 2006 a regular beer.
A golden bitter suffused with the aromas of a grapefruit grove. The massive citrus attack will burst on your palate allowing all the flavours of the imported New World hops to deliver their fruity bitterness. Adnams is “Exploring” new ground by sourcing interesting new hops from the USA that add different characters to the beer. By using the hops, not only in the copper but also in the cask, the drinker enjoys a mix of the traditional brewing quality that has become synonymous with the Adnams name, but also the contemporary flavours of the New World.
Ingredients: Pale malt. Columbus and Chinook hops; Columbus in the copper and Chinook in the cask

Draught (Castle Inn, Cambridge) Fruity, hoppy aroma - apple and peach. Light amber, loose head. Pleasantly hoppy with a caramel, sweet finish. A bit flowery too.

En Burbage. Sour, curranty nose. Teasing bread and honey with a gentle English hop apple sauce hoppiness. Dark gold with a Gillette head. Ok, but not enough of anything.

Served a bit warm i think. Bon accord. Aroma is biscuity, hints of grass but a bit minimal all round, dam sparklers. Taste is similar with again hints of citrus but nothing exciting me too much.

Cask at the Cask at The George Hotel, Cley-Next-The-Sea, Norfolk, 27-04-07. Pours golden in colour very zesty, citrusy and fruity nose. Taste was much more of the same, very fruity and crisp with real citrusy bite and nice bitterness.

Golden body, little cloudy. Small head. Very hoppy and dry, taste of grass and a little bit of soapiness. Not the greatest flavours and it was a bit thin and watery. However it went down very well.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Mid gold. very sweet lemonade aroma. Citric taste, rather artificial lemony, like eating a cheap lemon meringue pie. Really not very good.
