Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Introduced in 2004 as a summer seasonal in East Anglia and London; became from Feb, 2006 a regular beer.
A golden bitter suffused with the aromas of a grapefruit grove. The massive citrus attack will burst on your palate allowing all the flavours of the imported New World hops to deliver their fruity bitterness. Adnams is “Exploring” new ground by sourcing interesting new hops from the USA that add different characters to the beer. By using the hops, not only in the copper but also in the cask, the drinker enjoys a mix of the traditional brewing quality that has become synonymous with the Adnams name, but also the contemporary flavours of the New World.
Ingredients: Pale malt. Columbus and Chinook hops; Columbus in the copper and Chinook in the cask

CASK. Golden colour with a small white head. Sweet floral aroma and a bitter floral fruity taste. Medium body and a light sweet bitter dry finish.

Cask conditioned. Flover aroma. Fruity flavour. Hoppy finish. Body is dominated by a nice natural taste of dandelions. Smooth and refreshing.

Cask @ The Castle Inn, Cambridge, UK. 27th May 2005
Very blonde lager coloured beer. Thin body and not very much taste at all. Slightly malty aroma. Dishwash in aftertaste.

Cask @ Buckeye, 4-02-05. Light golden brown color, mildly bitter, very easy drinkin’ with low carbonation. I could drink this all day.

Cask at Buckeye. Body was golden, mostly clear, with a short foamy head. Taste was lightly malty with earthy woody hops (maybe more hops than malts). Mellow and smooth - would be great for a long afternoon of drinking.

On cask @ the 2005 British Ale Fest @ Buckeye Brewing 4/1/05: Smallish white head on a light amber body. Surprisingly grapefruity citrusy aroma for an English ale. Pale malt aroma; medium apple fruitiness & a touch yeasty. Well balanced overall, green apple fruit flavor & lightly citrusy hop flavor; dry finish w/a clean, hoppy, aftertaste. Malt flavor balances hop flavor throughout. Low carbonation, smooth m/f, lighter medium body. Nice, easy drinking, flavorful session beer.

Cask @ Buckeye: Light golden body, topped with a classic foamy, bubbly cask head. Earthy hops in the aroma along with some intresting, kinda funky malts. Not all that much zing there. Mild flavors dominated by pale malt. Drinkable, but kinda boring.
