Commercial Description:
Bottle: Pasteurised.
"Full Flavoured Ale"
A traditional dark ruby ale, delivering full flavour at just 4% ABV. Full aromatic barley malts and an exquisite blend of hops combined to create a wonderful balance of sweet biscuit and subtle fruit flavours, with a hint of chocolate bitterness.

Pasteurised bottle. Clear ruby with a slim beige collar. Strong aroma of warm polythene, red apple skin, earth, faint coffee, cherry and vegetal nuttiness. Flavour cherry stone, soil, watery mocha, apples in plastic. Got a feeling it could be a half-decent mild-like brew unpasteurised, but I might be wrong.

Bottled 500ml, pasteurised from Tesco, Banbury. Copper to chestnut with white head. Milds have been difficult to get right in a bottle, but this is a relatively good attempt. There is a sweetish, rich, maltiness, with fruity overtones, there are also some deeper roasted notes in the malt, all pretty clean. A good beer.

0.5 l bottle from K-Market Länsiväylä, Jyväskylä. Amber color. Caramelly, nutty and fruity aroma. Biscuity, caramelly, nutty, toffeish and tart-fruity flavor with hint of resiny hops and chocolate. Light bodied. Nice fruity Adnams house flavor.

Bottled (From Citymarket, Pori). Deep copper colour with mediumsized beige head and good lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some dark berries, wood and also some slight caramel maltyness lurking. Flavour is fruity, slightly roasted and also has some dark berries as well as chocolate in it. The chocolate grows in the finish and aftertaste. A bit thin, but otherwise very drinkable. As it warms up the flavour gets some nuttyness as well.

Botte. Pours a dark clear amber colour with a small bright head. The beer has a real strong malt roasty aroma. It has a good chocolate taste with a nice dry finish.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is roasted and toffee, and the flavour is roasted, toffee and well hopped. Overall a nice beer.

50 cl bottle from Aldi. Reddish brown with a dense cream head; caramel malt aroma; overboiled caramel malt flavour; sweet burnt sugar finish. Not Adnams best bottled beer.

(Bottled) Clear, dark ruby with a smallish, firm and slightly tanned head. Mild aroma of toffeeish malt and berries. Flavor of toffeeish malt, dried fruit, hints of ashiness, black currants, low bitterness. Medium body with quite low carbonation. Sure, it packs a lot of flavor for a 4% brew - but still it feels somewhat bland, slightly ashy and uninteresting overall.
