"Full Flavoured Ale"
A traditional dark ruby ale, delivering full flavour at just 4% ABV. Full aromatic barley malts and an exquisite blend of hops combined to create a wonderful balance of sweet biscuit and subtle fruit flavours, with a hint of chocolate bitterness.

Bottle at chris o’s teabag for 2009 tasting. Alround rating: Brown ale malts, bitter, grassy small citrus character off the hops. Tasty enough.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. While plenty of folks sat round the table thought this was really good, I have to say it didn’t really float my boat. Decent enough but too much caramel and not enough character for me. I should probably try this again to be sure as people I have plenty of respect for enjoyed it a lot. Maybe I just don’t know anything about beer...

500ml bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Chestnut, lasting beige head. Again, it’s a pretty solid malty best bitter. It’s fine.

500ml bottle, from Adnams Cellar & Kitchen shop in Richmond. Best before 16 July 2009. Another Adnams beer that seems to have been targeted at the Norwegian market (Lighthouse is the other). Only 4.0% but, unlike the Lighthouse, this is very strong on depth and character. Reddish amber colour. Plenty of chewy, roasty malt in the aroma and flavour with a dry, fruity mouthfeel. The hops don’t clamour for attention but they do enough to produce an excellently balanced and nicely drinkable beer. Good weight on the palate. A pleasant surprise. Difficult to categorise but not so sure it is a mild though.

500ml bottle bought at Centra Colosseum in Oslo, and enjoyed back home in Tromsø. This beer proves that it is quite possible to make great stuff with a low ABV. Nice in appearance with a shining, rusty-amber body, supported by a perfect, beige head, blanketing the glass. Light chocolate malts to the nose. Taste of fruit-chocolate with some grainy hints behind. Dry bitter endnotes. A very well balanced brew with fine drinkability [19.12.2008].

Ruby brown, with a lacy white head. Bicuitty cereals and some hops in the aroma. Sweet with the biscuit appearing again quite like a digestive. Fades down to a well judged creamed hoppy bitterness. A little thin for me but definitely not too watery. Well balanced overall but lacking in character.

500 ml bottle. Brown colour. Clear. Tall fine-laced light beige head. Beatiful beer. Rich malty and nutty aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Malty flavours with sweet raisins. Crisp carbonation level. Nice nutty flavours with a dry texture. Cacao powder. Surprisingly rich for a beer this low in alcohol. A very nice session beer. Dry and lightly bitter finish.

50 cl bottle, Hopheads´ tasting 22. august. Brown reddish color, fine beige head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is sweet fruity, caramel malt. Hoppy bitterness in the finish. Nice for a «low alcohol».
