I enjoyed this in bottle, so I was interested in it on cask. Yes, still a veery solid better than average best brown bitter. Good toffee and fruity malt. I like it. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Cask in the new crown. Alround rating: Roasty chocolate malts, grassy bittering hop, theres a nice leafy hop character in here which takes the edge off the roastyness and the chocolate malt keeps it smooth and very tasty. imdownthepub (5178), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Dark chestnut with white head. A bitter type of mild, roasted malt, a little fruity with some hop and caramel toffee, however there is a rubbery, wet tyre note in the cask version that I never got in the bottled which was a little off putting. Average. maeib (4768), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
