Rich amber, tiny persistent head. Sweet citrussy fruity aroma - lovely hops, but might promise too much sweetness. Smooth silky palate, carbonation moderate. Citrussy, lemon, hop restronasals. Malts a touch caramalty and sweet, bitterness quite mouth-filling - a tingle remains on the tongue for a while. Something disturbs me, but I can’t put my finger on it. It could be that it’s so un-Adnams-like that’s surprising me. Then again, they have hit rock bottom recently, so it’s better to bounce up in this direction than to stay with the tasteless other stuff they’ve made recently. Long finish has graperfruit and lemon. Darn it - Adnams have made a good beer again. Rather simple and sweet, but heck - it’s got flavour like their beers of yore - horrah! ChristianScheffel (4535), Odense, Denmark

I’ve had a fair few decent bottled Adnams beers recently, this was another one. Intriguingly hoppy is a good description. They’re not in your face but you certainly know they are there. Bright and citric, good earthy malt underneath. Well balanced and not a hint of alcohol. Good stuff. SilkTork (4173), Rochester, Kent, England

Mild hops and citrus on the noce. Strong hops bitter and citrus taste with a warming aftertaste of what I can only describe as tomatoe sauce? Nice, refreshing, but not what I expected. The tomato thing is slightly unnerving if I’m honest. Disappointed. mirjukka (705), LOHJA, Finland
