Slightly hoppy finish with more flavour than I had expected considering its low strength.

Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Amber colour with medium white head which soon disappears. Hops and caramel in the nose. The taste is of lightly roasted malt. The finish is a bit watery with a dry bitter finish. Not bad but Adnams make better beers than this.

Apr 17, 2009 [500ml bottle from Tesco’s, Reading] Pours amber-red with a small beige head. Light yet prickly carbonation. Nice fresh aroma. Initial flavour is unfortunately that metal-and-cardboard flavour of a pasteurised beer (unusual for Adnams, who normally manage to avoid it). However, this is soon washed away by the classic Adnams malt. Lots of biscuit, some caramel and a little roasted malt with a surprisingly dry and refreshing bitter finish. It grew on me over the bottle, but it’s still well short of Adnams’ best. Good effort for the low ABV though.
