Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - December. No longer available in bottle.
The original winter warmer, Tally-Ho is actually a barley wine brewed to a nineteenth century recipe. It’s sweet; it’s heart-warming; it’s rich - but watch out, it’s got a kick like a drayman’s horse!

This draft brew from Nicholson’s in Cinci poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was semi-transparent and dark ruby red brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of brown malt mild . Its mouth feel is off mildly acidic vinegar with a palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty acidic burnt off notes and was very poor flavor. This brew was advertised to us as a porter, but was noted as not being porter like at all. Horrible brew that does not match the quality and descriptions of this brew here. Mark for re-rate.

(Cask, The Wharf, Aalborg) - A warming barley wine with a toffee sweetness, and a spicy, fruity seville orange dryness.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy deep red beer with a small orange head. The aroma is light with notes of berries. The flavor is lovely sweet malty with notes of caramel, alcohol, and oranges, and with a dry woody end. Nice one.
