| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Updated: Jan 12, 20092008-12-09, gravity dispense at The Bree Louise, London, 7.8%, 6-4-7-3-14=34 Dark mahogany color, almost black; flat. Light caramel aroma. Good body strength, strong caramel flavor, with dark chocolate tones, that become quite strong towards the end, as well as the bitterness; there are also roasted nuts at the end. Reasonable Strong Ale (not sweet enough to be a Barley Wine), a bit too much roasted for me.

2004-11-30, cask conditioned at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, 5-4-7-4-14=34 Brown color. Simple aroma. Very good body, malty, with a lot of caramel and some chocolate. Bold final.
