Avaialable in 500ml pasteurised bottles, and in cans.Previously Suffolk Strong Bitter
Formerly known as Adnams Suffolk Strong Ale or Adnams Extra Ale.
SSB is a refreshing beer of real flavour, distinctively hoppy and deliciously dry - perfect served cool. SSB commemorates the building of the famous Southwold Lighthouse, which has been guiding ships to safety since 1890.

The aroma is sweet and malty. The color is amber and no head. The flavor is sweet and malty with nutty notes. A very average bitter.

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy amber, limited slightly creamy head. Somewhat fruity but not really much aroma. A touch of hops and nothing else really. Extreme pressure in the bottle. 030205

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden with a fully gone head. Mild spiced and hoppy aroma. Bitter and mild breadish flavour. Light bitter finish. Simple yet also clean and crisp.

Bottled (4.5% version). Nut brown. Very stable malty backbone. Flowery and nutty, fruity, medium sweet and with really bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle 500ml. Dark amber colour with little white head. Aromas of the english hops and some fruitiness. The flavor is hops, toasted malt and nuts and some toffee that is soon overtaken by hoppy bitterness.

Bottle at EBF08. Weak fruity aroma. Clear dark amber colour. The flavour is spicy from the hops. Thin to medium mouthfeel.

Bottled. Orangeish colour with reddish hints, mediumsized thick creamy off-white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity hops. Flavour cooked vegetables "malty" and hops in finish. Not that special. Refreshing and quite easy to drink.

Can. Clear orange coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts, hops and pine needles. Flavour of mlats, hops and pine needles.
