Cornfield (4255), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Nov 5, 2004 Updated: Sep 13, 2005 Pours a hazy copper color with a thin off-white head that says "byre" real quickly. Has an agreeable hoppy aroma that’s mainly herbal, perhaps a bit doughy. Solid malt flavors with perhaps a bit of smokiness and a good bitter rush at the end of each drink. Lingering bitter finish. Tasty stuff.

albertane (247), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Aug 20, 2008 Bottled. This is a pretty average bitter, a traditional tasting example of the style. It’s a dark amber colour with a woody aroma. The flavour is very well balanced but not particularly striking. Earthiness stands out among the lightly sweet malt and subtle bitterness. bman1986 (72), Broadstairs, Kent, England Aug 18, 2008 Cask at The Blue Pigeons, Worth: Pretty standard but nonetheless tasty bitter. Brown in colour, lots of malt and caramel. Nice refreshing beer. tlind2 (208), Helsinki, Finland Jul 22, 2008 500 ml bottle. Coppery color, white head. Fruity hop aroma, malty taste with a bitter finish. Full body. A bit too sweet for my taste. Kalli (404), Falun, Sweden Jul 18, 2008 Brownish amber with a fairly persistent off-white head and a nice bit of lacing. Hoppy citrus, or even grapfruit, aroma with a bit of a malt background.
Very soft in the mouth with slightly roasty malts finishing with citrusy hops. No world beater but quite nice overall even if the aroma had me hoping for more asserting flavour. weaselkenievil (295), Cheshire, England Jul 7, 2008 On tap at an awful pub, one of those pubs on an industrial estate next to a travel lodge. Better than I thought it would be, Adnams do some decent beer in my eyes, A nice bitter, not big on flavour but pleasant and drinkable and got me through a couple of hours of business bollocks.
