Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 12, 2004 A red beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is of wood and plums. The flavor is boring, only slightly sour with notes of wood and plums and a very dry end. The body is thin. A very boring version of a Flemish sour ale. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 12, 2005 Bottled. Clear dark brownish red. Roasty and aromatic. Dryish and light bodied with clean, hard mouthfeel and some crystal malt flavour. salty finish. Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 30, 2005 Updated: Jun 13, 2005(Bottle 25 cl) A new "Oud Bruin" is definitely rare. It’s not exactly a type that gets a lot of attention. But this piece of news is unfortunately a disappointment. Redbrown and filtered, light beige head. But none of the sourness or metallic edge, that usually characterizes this type. This is soft and easily accessible -resembles more a Dutch version of "Oud Bruin" which is a kind of "hvidtøl"/ low alcohol beer. Malty, a bit sweet but lacks character. 021204 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours dark brown with a dense tan head. Mild caramel malt and slight yeasty aroma, with a mild spice note. Flavour is mild caramel malt, medium sweet and with a mild lingering yeasty spice note. Nice smooth finish.
