Dark skin colour with a very stacy head. When you first hit it. You can feel the Smoking Cherkez Cheese taste all of your mouth. You can not drink this beer so fast you can drink it all hour long. Thanx to Teoman Hünal for bring this amazing beer to Turkiye. And this beer my 200th beer. CheersMate1 (785), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2009 This beer was somewhat translucent with a dark brown color. Too filtered for me. HUGE smoke and leather aroma. Smells like I am about to drink a piece of beer jerky. Very pungent aroma. I love the aroma, but the taste is a little rough. I am serious be prepared for some damn smoke this thing is a mean son of a bitch. Overall, the smoke and leather flavors are just out there and will destroy your tastebuds if you do not like it. Also, I wish the beer could have some more body to it. fredthecat (186), Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2009 immediately made my room smell like smoked salmon. tastes like smokey meat, salty.. bitter. it is thinner than i thought it might be. it is dark reddy brown and wth a very small head. the mouthfeel is light and a little harsh. pretty cool, everyone should pop open one to experience a very nice and unusual smell. ilovedarkbeer (1333), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Drank outdoors. A beer that was drank in reverse temperature. Started around 65 ended around 35. Interesting experience.
Pours an amber brown color similar to a brown ale. Not much head but what is there is light tan and fizzy. Nose is bacon, animal fat, and cheap gouda cheese. Taste is pretty much the same thing. This beer is not as thick, rich, complex, or delicious as its older brother. It has some merit but it comes off a bit one dimensional and that dimension is smoked animals.
I should note that tasting warm to cold is a real eye opening experience because its easier to detect what you have lost rather than what you have gained. Pawola22 (707), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 11, 2009 50cl bottle. Pours a dark amber brown maple syrup colored body with hints of red. Inch thick, beige, fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Slightly darker in color and less laced than the urbock. Aroma is the least smoky out of the urbock and weizen, but still has that bonfire touch. This beer, in opposition, seems to have more berry fruit malts up front and the smoked character seems to balance out the malts rather than occupying most of the aroma like the urbock and weizen. No real roast smell, unlike the urbock. Flavor is sweeter than the urbock too. Initial pale malt flavors, light caramel sweet middle, and a balancing smoky finish. Still seems like the least smoke flavored out of the three. Finishes very lightly bitter, less than the urbock, but more malty sweet and a bit of a berry touch. Slightly woody and salty. Palate is medium to full, smooth, clean, and a little higher in carbonation that the other two, but not by much. Dry, but definitely the least dry of the three. Overall, if I was to introduce someone to a smoked beer, I think I would do it with this one. Its not an over the top smokiness like the weizen and its not as bitter as the urbock. I like the sweetness of this and the fact that the smoke seems to balance the malts very nicely, while still remaining pronounced. I would put this just under the urbock. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 11, 2009 A rare beer for sure. Its smokey flavor is natural and makes for a great extra to a steak or barbque. Its hard to drink many of them and it does not mix well. But a must try for sure. judasbeer (240), Budapest, Hungary
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Dark ruby red, dark walnut color. Smoked wooden, bacon aroma.(More smoked than the wheat). Thick tanned off white head. Active smoked malt flavours. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. The mild caramel, hazelnutty sweet flavours are well integrated into the salty dry smoked fish and bacon attributes. Dry salty finish.
