Apr 19, 2008 Medium head is light brown. Color is dark reddish brown. Very much smoked ham-like aroma with hops. A little bit sweet flavor is much smokey and a bit metallic. Smokyness can be observed especially in the end and the flavor is long lasting. Palate is medium-bodied and somewhat carbonated.

Apr 18, 2008 Uma boa cerveja defumada. O sabor defumado realmente chama atenção, é forte e não desagrada. O cheiro lembra porco defumado. Coloração vinho bem escuro. Sabor seco, amargo e defumado. Retrogosto no mesmo estilo do sabor.

Apr 14, 2008 Dark brown amber. Porter-like mild coffee beans aroma greeted me as I was pouring it. With a proper whiff it smells smokey but sweey and nutty too. I tasted hops before the smoke really came out in the flavour. the unquestionable peaty flavours so familiar from smoked meat. There is a zingy hop bitterness underneath that is balanced nicely. Smoke flavour lingers nicely. Well put together.

Apr 12, 2008 Reddish brown with a dense head. Nasty smoke aroma, like smoked salmon and tar. The flavour is not that dominated by smoke though, being sweet and oak like. It’s an either or, and I haven’t really found out whether I like this type of beer or not.

Apr 8, 2008 Poured a deep brown with an almost unbelievable aroma of burning wood. Slight brown head. Shocking at first due to it’s unique flavors. Tastes like smoking a pipe, drinking a nut brown ale and eating cheese while sitting in front of a campfire. Bizarre but fantastic.

Apr 6, 2008 I don’t know how to rate this beer. The aroma is bacon. Nothing else, it just smells like bacon. Tastes the same way with some malty and grape notes. This beer is just really out there. The flavors are strong, but not what I want a beer to taste like.
