Huge smoke aroma with some malt underneath. Powerful smokey taste with a little bit of a sweet finish. Very nice and enjoyable though one per session would be fine for me. But one has to bow to sheer quality!!! And my girlfriend said it tastes like bacon. I do love her! SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a nice light tan head that leaves some good lacing. Aroma of charred breakfast meats and smoldering campfire, with some molasses and coffee in there too. Reminds me of getting the campfire started in the morning while thebacon is sizzling on the campstove. Flavor is similar, but not too smoky to overpower the other aspects. The best smoked brew I’ve tried yet. Wonderful and complex. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on January 28, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a brownish-black into the glass with minimal head, and an ’oily’ look. The aroma was smoked wood, as well as some roasted malty tones. The mouthfeel was light bodied, almost watery, yet creamy, with little carbonation. The flavour was very much like burnt bacon and burnt coffee. Rune (2787), Tromsø, Norway

Nice deep mahogany body under a slowly fading, frothy head with lots of beige bubbles and fragile laceworks. Bacon-like aroma offset by malts and wood. Moderate notes of liquid fried bacon in flavour mixed with quite sweet, roasted grain. Medium mouthfeel. Another bottle would be alright (06.03.2008). tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Bottle. Wonderful smoke smells immediately upon opening the bottle. I’m camping! Pours light amber with a fine tan head. Flavor is like a campfire smells, mixed with grilled high quality hot dogs/sausage - a delicious combination. Very low bitterness with a mild malty undertone, the smoke is the real star here. RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Pours translucent dark brown with a thick head. Powerful aroma of smoke, and brown sugar. Taste of smoke with notes og dark fruit and sweet malts. The smoke flavor lingers, but could be a bit stronger.
