Jan 16, 2008 Updated: Feb 25, 2008this beer is great. my friends introduced it to me as the "ham sandwhich beer" and, try as i might, i actually cant come up with a better description. if you can possibly imagine drinking a smoked ham and cheese sandwhich, you have this beer. is that a messed up way to describe beer? oh well, its true. awesome beer.

Jan 12, 2008 Amazing smoked beer, i’ve tried others that were possibly smokier, more like drinking liquid smokey bacon than anything (can become cloying) but this works better and is a better beer because it’s so dry in the finish.

Jan 10, 2008 wow smoky routes here. smells of a bonfire in the morning. just delicious. good balance though too and very drinkable. It does finish ultra dry though which i liked. try tis today smokiest rauch beer i’ve found yet!

Jan 10, 2008 Transparent cola like color. Huge bacon and smoke aroma, not much else detectable. Flavor much the same. Tons of smoke, tiny bit of backbone sweetness, but hard to get through all the smoke. Tad dissapointed as I really enjoyed the first brew I tried fronm these guys.

Dec 23, 2007 ara os que conhecem a Rauchbier da Eisenbahn, essa Smoked alemã é muito mais potente, em todos os aspectos. Seu aroma característico lembra a carne, fumaça e principalmente linguiça, do tipo blumenau. Sua espuma tem aparência inicial cremosa e coloração marrom clara, com pouca longevidade. Seu corpo é claro e sua densidade media, com tonalidade marrom. Ao primeiro gole nota-se um paladar salgado, também de linguiça blumenau. Seu corpo tem textura seca e carbonatação suave, características marcantes das Rauchbiers. O final do gole é marcado por um amargor médio e um toque metálico, sem perdurar muito no paladar, no entanto.

Nice smokiness balances malty sweetness to some extent. Lacks carbonation, it would have made it better.

Dec 17, 2007 Holy Smokes! Smells of rich smokey meats, and the first sip was like a bite of smoked salmon. Putting back more then one glass might be to much, but the flavor and aroma of this are top notch. You better like a lot of smoke to enjoy this one.
