Garrafa. Tomada em Grindelwald (SUI), em novembro de 2007. Coloração avermelhada, creme bege fraco. Aroma e sabor de fumaça, bem intensos. Pesada demais. Poderia ser mais equilibrada.

Pours a very dar brown with white head. Aroma of roasted mals but dmoinated by a smokey charcoal bbq scent. This beer has a very complex taste that is dominated by a smoked charcoal taste. Burnt malt accompanied by hickory bbq. I appreciate the original and unique taste of this beer but half of a glass was enough for me.

I remember having had a Schlenkerla Rauchbier (not sure which type) some years ago and thought it was like drinking smoke .... this one however tastes rather like a light stout (good dryness) with some smoked ham addition .... I am having it with some black forest ham ... just a delicious pairing ...

bottle. I am not a fan of the smoked style in general. I can understand the complexity though, and empathize with those who do enjoy it.

This one lived up to my expectations way more than the last one. Aroma is completly dominated by the smoke. Burning wood, tar and salted meat. All this smoke is necely brought into the moutharoma aswell, the flavor itself was sweet nutty with a bit of caramel sweetness.

scura schiuma non molta e non troppo persistente note nette di affumicato percepire altre note è veramete difficile anche in bocca tutto riferibile alle note del malto affumicato una lieve astringenza

Chestnut brown with an almost white head. Burnt hickory and malt aroma. Strong malt flavor, slight hop. some sweetness at the finish. Smoky, as well, as expected. After sipping for a good 30 min, mouthfeel began to feel chewy.

500 mL bottle. Poured a dark orange-brown color. Head was light tan. Aroma was of burnt firewood and smoked bacon. Smelled like a BBQ pit in a bottle. Slightly sweet with lots of smoke flavor accented by a hint of malty caramel and molasses in the background. Very meaty/bacony. An acquired taste to be sure.
