Bottle. Pours a dark, dark ruby with beige head. The aroma is smoky as expected, but it’s a rich, sweet smoke with notes of dark caramel and molasses. The flavor is full of smoked meat, much like beef brisket. Sweet caramelly malt follows and combines with the smokiness to give a brief hint of barbecue sauce. Woody malt tones come in the finish, which is very smooth. This is one fine rauchbier.

Tastes like jerky. I l like it, though. This would probably be great at a pig roast or with a rack of ribs.

High brown creamy and lasting head. Very dark brown almost black body. Heavy smoke aroma, so dominant that you can smell nothing else. Flavor smokey but with notes of hops and caramel. I do not know why but I I get the feeling of seaweed as well as light and fresh because the temperature is just right. Tar and tow is also apparent. Interesting.

You love or you hate it. I love it. I can gladly drink a lot of this beer and get myself in to a mess. Fantastic! Take the dive and try a smoked beer. Enjoy the smokyness but also appreciate that behind it and with it is a fantastic beer, Lovely. Yum

Bottled from West Lake View Liquors. Thanks for always carrying stuff no one else will! Pours a dark brown with a white head. Aroma of smoke, campfire smoke with a meatiness ... like a ham with a little oak as well. Roasted flavors smoke tar meat. A pig on a spit over the open fire. That’s exactly what this is. And I love it. Finishes with a roasted charred meat flavor.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber to brown body with a one and a half finger ashy head, head is creamy white som bobbles in it. Aroma is smoke and smoked meat. Smokey taste and som last. The smoke is very intense and woody almost like an forestfire. The aftertaste is reminds me of how your clothes smell after you have been at an bonefire. Some bitternes in the aftertaste. Palate is mouthtfilling thick and creamy.

Srtong smoky aroma with a hint of cereals and leather. Dark brown appearance with a weak foam. Flavor is also very smoky, still it isnt so strong as you could imagine. Balanced, good aftertaste. Great rauchbier, strong character but still not so challenging taste.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with minimal head. Smoke totally dominates the aroma and taste. Slight sweetness as well. Worth trying but would not buy.
