NoiZe (1030), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands Aug 19, 2006 Dark amber colored brew. Very, very, very smoked aroma. It’s aroma smells like a smoked ham. Lot’s of different tast in this one. Smoked, a bit bitterness, a bit sweet, spices and a bit floral. Thnx to ceasar for bringing this one.
waolsen (1051), Littleton, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2008 Maple pour with thin head. Great smoke, meat, charred wood aroma. Taste much the same. Very nice smoke beer. JCastner (58), New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 A beautiful dark amber with an off white head. Legendary aroma of sweet malt, smoked meat, and a bit of fruit. Medium body. Taste is of smoked malt (you can actually taste the beechwood!) with a little residual sweetness (surprisingly complex). I’m a smoked food kind of a guy and this is one of my all time favorites. Brompa (1), , New Hampshire, USA does not count Nov 21, 2008 Poured from bottle really dark with only a slight head. WOW!!! Smoke! I grabbed this one by accident but I’m glad I did. I agree with others that this is not a session beer but the more I drank the more I wanted. Overall a real smooth Rauchbier. I would definitely buy this one again. DandyWolfFloyd (272), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 20, 2008 Supersmoke! Aroma full of smoked beechwood, ok that’s the safe answer, really it’s liquid smoke. Like a smokehouse, like a smoked ham, like beef jerky, for real. It’s color is a dark brown, with no head at all. Flavor is full absolutely with smoked ham being the most prominent, but is that the best. It’s a 9 for me, because although its crazy it’s a one and done specialty. Palate is smooth considering, but your not pounding this. A great one and done. fredandboboflo (722), East Setauket, New York, USA Nov 1, 2008 Bottle. Aroma crazy with singed earth, smoldering firewood, smoked meats. Flavor smoky with sweet malt, some nuttiness. Very nice.
