Dark reddish-brown body without a head pretty much. As promised, there is intense amounts of smoke in the aroma and in the flavor. Those of you who know me, know that I don’t really tend to appreciate smoked beers too much, but overall, I can say that this one is very decently made: it is not "artificially" flavored, so luckily it does not taste like flacid bacon. It has a nice balance of moderate maltiness without too much sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish. Nice.

1 pt 9 fl oz bottle. Pours a clear brownish color. Aroma of smoke and cured sausage. Flavor is like a dash of liquid smoke, and some malt, and bacon. It’s alright - but what I taste is like as if someone was smoking next to me.

Oh lord, huge head, smells like smoked salmon vs sausage , I cant even bring myself to describe the taste........ first taste: Like drinking a stein of charcoal with a burned tyre on top. Second taste; actually pleasant, smokey but not offensive, like a good salami, interesting, very interesting. Third taste; a nice beer.

Gravity in Bamberg - Beautiful dark chestnut body, lasting thick beige head leaving thick patches of lacing; Beautiful clear freshly burnt wood smoked nose with warmer caramel malt aromas and even way back a spicy hop touch; Super fresh body, young fresh carbonation, very beautiful small bitting bubbles, soft texture, super balanced with a small malt bitter show off; Medium long finish that actually is a little short compared to what is expected, lots of burnt wood aroma, malt and clear hop bitterness. This beer is in a class of its own!!!!!! From bottle - 7-4-6-3-15=3.5 - Brown clear body, creamy beige head; Deep and quite complex nose with lots of different smoked aromas, most powerful is smoked bacon, barbecue beef jerky, burnt wood, there is also sweet sugary malt with some metallic white sugar undertones; Soft to velvety textured body, very little carbonation, balanced with some bitter freshness; Quite bitter finish that is strangely combined, the bitter and sweet parts doesnt fit perfectly together, the texture is thinner and aromas are more basic then the nose: again some smoked bacon, but also raw meat.

Dark brown, ruby when held up to the light with a nice beige heSad that is nicely retained. Aroma is smokey but different than the smoked aromas I am used too. This smells very much like a side of bacon that has been cured, smoked and aged. Flavor is dead on with the aroma. Smoke flavor, but also lots of meatiness, canadian bacon maybe. Enjoyable beer, but I wouldn’t drink more than one at a time.

This poured a dark dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma was basically nothing but smoke and dark roasted malts. Flavor was a little bit less overwhelming than aroma, but still mainly just deep dark smoke, and some maltyness in the after thought as well.

Dark brown appearance with a trace of red; average head, good lacing. Intense, woodsy aroma that hinted of pepperoni. Smooth, roasted malt taste with mild bitterness. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, and a long lasting, balanced finish.

Pours black, little ring of foam on the outskirt. Smoky smell reminding of a Hygrade smoked sausage; in the mouth, the first contact is a lot smoother than the nose was leading to believe, almost disapoointing in it smoothness, oh, in the aftertase, the smoke finally appears, followed by some mild bitterness and then by some more smoke. Overall, smoother to the mouth than the nose led to believe.
