From a bottle. Pours a dark brown. The smell is amazing. Smells a lot like some of the stronger smoked cheeses I have tried. The taste is startling and unique. Very strong smoked meat or cheese flavor on top of a quality brewed lager. I’ve never had anything like this before and I’m extremely interested in trying other smoked beers if they exist.

Smells of crispy bacon and BBQ pits. Pours a very dark brown with a 3/4 inch guinness-like head. Decent layer of suds remain on the glass. Heavy taste of roasted malts and crispy bacon. Tastes almost "meaty", but in a good way. Excellent beer, very surprised, would try again.

From a 500mL Bottle. Pours a transparent, dark ruddy brown color with a thick layer of creamy toasted marshmellow head. Clean smoked malt aroma with notes of caramel and hearty maple syrup glazed bread crusts. Very malt forward, with no esters or hop characters to speak of, allowing the maltiness to shine through. Medium light bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Lots of smoke, but clean and bready, without any excessive salty or bacon characters. An underlying malt layer of toasted cashew nuts provides some additional malt presence, who’s flavors are enhanced by a slightly slick mouthfeel. Dries out quenchingly at the end, leaving a smokey/spicy herbal residue behind to lift any residual sugars off the tongue. Exceptionally clean, flavorful, and refreshing. Perfect beer to pair with barbeque. Awesome.

It has a firm smokiness from its aroma though its palate to its clean, dry, long finish. Its aroma and flavous ara a shock at first but this style marries perfectly with smoket ham or sausages.

Gravity in Bamberg - Beautiful dark chestnut body, lasting thick beige head leaving thick patches of lacing; Beautiful clear freshly burnt wood smoked nose with warmer caramel malt aromas and even way back a spicy hop touch; Super fresh body, young fresh carbonation, very beautiful small bitting bubbles, soft texture, super balanced with a small malt bitter show off; Medium long finish that actually is a little short compared to what is expected, lots of burnt wood aroma, malt and clear hop bitterness. This beer is in a class of its own!!!!!! From bottle - 7-4-6-3-15=3.5 - Brown clear body, creamy beige head; Deep and quite complex nose with lots of different smoked aromas, most powerful is smoked bacon, barbecue beef jerky, burnt wood, there is also sweet sugary malt with some metallic white sugar undertones; Soft to velvety textured body, very little carbonation, balanced with some bitter freshness; Quite bitter finish that is strangely combined, the bitter and sweet parts doesnt fit perfectly together, the texture is thinner and aromas are more basic then the nose: again some smoked bacon, but also raw meat.

Poured from a 1 pint, 0.9 oz bottle into a lager glass. Even before I finished poured I was in love with the aroma of smoky bacon which just dominated. The appearance was a reddish brown with a fluffy head after a vigourous pour. Taste followed just as the smell, plenty of smoke and bacon. Great beer for the style. However, if you don’t like smoky beers, this one will turn you off.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber to brown body with a one and a half finger ashy head, head is creamy white som bobbles in it. Aroma is smoke and smoked meat. Smokey taste and som last. The smoke is very intense and woody almost like an forestfire. The aftertaste is reminds me of how your clothes smell after you have been at an bonefire. Some bitternes in the aftertaste. Palate is mouthtfilling thick and creamy.

1pt 0.9oz bottle. Pours nice brown color with a very soft foamy head that lasts forever. Smells of camfired cooked bacon. Tastes of smoked pork, corn malt, hardwood, and hops. Nice lacing. Nice long aftertaste. Excellent brew.
